 (1) CHOOSE THE RIGHT CONDITIONER FOR YOUR HAIR.

Lovelies, most of you get caught in the TV commercial-web-of-deceit and purchase the latest shampoo and conditioner, thinking your hair will look like what you see on TV.  My darlings, that will NOT happen. Get a professional consult from a master stylist and learn your hair type. Research and learn the specific ingredients that will work well with your hair type.  When you purchase your shampoo set at your local beauty supply or salon, READ the ingredients before purchasing. Your hair is unlike any other and must be treated as such.

(2)  EAT HEALTHY!

Darlings EVERYTHING works together in the body.  Your exterior is a reflection of what you put in the interior.  Flush your system out routinely with an assortment of fruits, vegetables and water.  Reduce your intake of fatty acids. and things that will dry out the skin, like SALT!

(3)  AVOID TIGHT HAIR STYLES

Some people believe that alopecia is caused by bad genetics.  That may be the case with some people; however, it can be brought on by excessive pulling of the hair.  Ladies who love to don those beautiful tribal and ethnic braids, DO NOT allow your edges to be pulled.  Continued stress on your edges will result in permanent hair loss. 

(4)  AVOID USING MULTIPLE PRODUCTS 

Shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, and gel is unnecessary to put on your hair EVERYDAY.  Leave that kind of combo to your stylist.  Too much product will eventually start to build up.  Keep your tresses light.  Don't bog them down with an excessive number of products.

(5)  AVOID OR REDUCE UNHEALTHY LIFESTYLE HABITS

You have been officially notified by me, La MeilleureStyliste Rochelle, smoking is bad for you--not only for you lungs, but also for you hair.  Smoke weighs the tresses down the tresses.  For those who can't wholly kick the the habit, reduce how many cigarettes you smoke in a day.  Cover your hair when smoking.  Stay away from second hand smoke.  And double your water intake.  Do whatever it takes to offset as much as you can the harmful effects of smoking.  

Believe or not, pollutants like smoke, dust particles, dirt weight the hair down. Wash your hair routinely.  Get fashionable and don a silk scarf as you parlay about your daily activities in our great city of Houston Texas.
